2 Thessalonians 1:3 — We thank God for you always. And that’s what we should do, because you give us good reason to be thankful: Your faith is growing more and more. And the love that every one of you has for each other is also growing.

What causes my faith to fail?

Luke 22:32 — But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. So when you recover, strengthen the other disciples.

37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?

41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

37 A furious windstorm arose, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was close to being swamped.

37 But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water.

The ship doesn’t sink because of the water around it; it typically sinks because of the water that gets in it.

When I wake up, I pray that God gets in my head before I do.
